EVERETT Please dont squeeze the avocados. Or the Charmin.
And stay in your lane, dude.
The once casual act of grocery shopping is now a matter of life and bread.
The state Department of Health advises: Shop with a list and like you mean business. The less time you are in there, the better.
To ensure proper social distancing, stores now limit the number of people inside at a time and want you to keep moving. No more mulling over whether to spend 11 cents more on the name brand over the store label. Grab what you need.
Dont touch items unnecessarily. That means not picking up apples, tomatoes and other produce to select that perfect one. Handpick with your eyes instead.

That's why I usually don't buy loose fruit. I buy the bagged stuff, even though it's usually not as good as the big shiny apples or oranges sitting out by themselves, looking pretty. There is something to be said, about ugly fruit!
Be safe and careful!

I had picked up a potato to put in my basket and
discovered the back side was beat up. Felt bad
about putting it back. A smart DUer suggested
if you must examine or squeeze, just use a
veggie bag as a glove.

(25,183 posts)And when I pick up a six or twelve pack of IPA, I want it fresh, so I have to check for a "canned on" date. Often, they're not easy to find, or they're in code, which I can usually decipher. But, no date, no sale to me.
That's one of the things I miss about living in the Pacific Northwest, the craft beer moved so fast that most breweries didn't bother dating it, and customers didn't need to check. But on so much of the east coast, there's a serious risk of getting skunky IPA unless you're careful.
