Man charged in death threat to Inslee over COVID-19 response
EVERETT A Mill Creek man who allegedly phoned in a death threat to Gov. Jay Inslee last week has now been charged in Snohomish County Superior Court.
The Governors Office of Constituent Services reported the threatening voicemail to Washington State Patrol on April 21.
Wow almost impossible to get a hold of the tyrant, the message began, according to charging papers. Listen very clear. You violated the Constitution, you threatened another church and youre dead Inslee. Any of your workers, employees, their accomplices. It will be at your house, in the mansion, it doesnt matter where you think youre safe, youre not. The Constitution will be followed, your fear mongering is over. Yeah we know where this message is going, but it will get to you.
It ended, Youre a (expletive) dead man.
Using phone records, troopers confirmed the number had been used to call the governors office three times, and that the call was made from a Mill Creek address where the suspect lives.
When a detective talked to the suspect at his home, the man reportedly admitted to leaving the voicemail.
