Starbucks CEO: leave the coalition to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security

Hi,

Starbucks’ coffee is a favorite treat for so many American workers and their families. That’s why it’s even more appalling that Starbucks’ CEO is trying, with over 100 CEOs, hedge fund managers, and bank presidents, to cut the vital services our families rely on so that they can get bigger corporate tax breaks.

That's why I signed a petition to Howard Schultz, CEO, Starbucks, which says:

"Our families’ futures aren’t up for negotiation. American workers, retirees, and families have sacrificed enough. Please drop out of the CEO coalition to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security."

2. No problem....never liked that crap coffee anyway...

When I was in Seattle, my coffee of choice was always Tullys....then in Bay Area it has been Peets....

But none of them compare to what I am sipping right now....a nice espresso on a plaza in Espana...

Sorry, but the coffee here, Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark.....soooo much better...

We do a lot right in the US....but coffee roasting in my opinion is an art and few have gotten it right in US and usually more of the local roasteries, artisans.....but certainly not Starbucks....

Problem is the US (like on many things) has been trained and conditioned to like the coffee that they have been forced to have and they think that's "good"....Starbucks introduced fancy names and foamy milk in a nice cup with some powdered cocoa on it or maybe a sweet syrup added and America thought the next best thing had been invented....by Americans....

Nothing, compares to a Bicerin coffee in Turin/Torino for example....I think they have been in same cafe Bicerin on the Via Po (Plaza of the River Po - the river that runs through Turin) since over 300 years....its this amazing espresso and chocolate combination that is undescribably good...http://www.bicerin.it

4. Not a coffee snob but Starbucks always tastes burnt to me

Very strong and bitter IMHO.
Around here the best coffee is Wawa (Romney's favorite convenience store with those newfangled food-ordering kiosks). Much less pricey too.

5. I've always loved the taste Starbucks coffee

But never ever ever go there anymore. Can't stand the ambience, the overly fake-friendly staff or the outrageous prices.
