Hairdressers file petition to delay salons re-opening until Phase 4

SEATTLE — Some hairdressers are calling for the state to push back the timeline for reopening salons.

They're one of the businesses that are clear to open in “Phase 2” of the state's economic recovery plan. Right now, most of the state is still in “Phase 1.”

The governor's office released re-opening guidance Wednesday for personal services like hair salons and tattoo parlors.

For example, employees are required to use PPE like gloves, gowns, goggles, face shields and masks depending on the service.
