Seattle plans mass vaccination site at Lumen Field Event Center
The city of Seattle on Monday announced that it is expanding its mobile vaccination efforts, creating fixed sites, including a location at Lumen Field Event Center.
The city, in partnerships with Swedish, UW Medicine, First & Goal and state government, will expand its vaccination efforts in four ways:
The city will operate a mass vaccination site at Lumen Field, which will initially administer 5,000 doses each week.
The Seattle Fire Department will open two more permanent Covid-19 testing and vaccination clinics at the current Rainier Beach and West Seattle testing locations, which combined will administer about 2,000 doses of the vaccine each week. At full capacity, each site could administer 1,000 doses per day.
