Recovery grants available to small businesses in unincorporated King County
King County launched its Revive and Thrive grant program for small businesses this week as part of a $4.5 million economic recovery initiative.
The program is for small businesses with fewer than 30 employees and $3 million per year or less in gross revenue. The businesses must be in unincorporated areas such as White Center, Skyway, Fall City, Fairwood, Vashon and parts of Federal Way.
Applicants may seek grants of up to $25,000, which can be used for reimbursable expenses including rent, payroll, business utilities, goods and services, Covid-19 accommodations and other related costs. Recipients will be reimbursed for expenses they have incurred since March 3.
The pandemic created unprecedented obstacles for businesses, and for those in unincorporated areas where King County is the local government, these grants will get dollars into the hands of small businesses, helping them recover and emerge even stronger, King County Executive Dow Constantine said in a statement.
