Rain On The Way? Washington Weather Forecast
SEATTLE Puget Sound's monthlong dry spell will continue for at least the next few days, but there is a chance it could be broken later this coming week.
Some places may have technically seen the dry streak broken Saturday morning, as the NWS fielded reports of a few scattered showers dropping immeasurably small amounts of rain, but most of Western Washington saw cloudy skies and dry ground.
Those cloudy skies should stick around through Sunday morning, before evaporating midday. There is a chance for rain in the northern Cascades, but it's likely to remain bone dry in the lowlands. After the weekend, it should be sunny and mostly clear through Wednesday, with highs in the upper 80s and lows near 60.
Wednesday afternoon is when the real fun begins, as a pair of upper level lows will push into Washington from Alaska and California. Neither of those troughs is carrying much moisture, but together there is a chance they could bring some much-needed water to the region.
