(22,154 posts)leaving a state park here somewhere in MO). I barely got a good look at him as he jumped over my car while I was slowly going up a hill on the road (isolated) going up the hill, and out of the park itself. His curly tail is what I remember the most about him.
Of course, we all have had deer on the road, while driving home, and which most of us avoid hitting a deer, if we're lucky.
I think one or two the neighbors did end up hitting a deer (it happens when they're so many of time on the road sometimes). At least when a deer was hit, we would call our neighbors, and they would come rapidly and grab the deer and process it (you have to be pretty quick about it). The Park was aware of it too, didn't mind the neighbors getting the hit deer, and if the neighbors didn't get the deer, there were other orgs in Town that would get the deer, and process the meat and donate it to needy families.
