ARLINGTON — A dozen farms will open to the public this weekend to share their lavender, sunflowers, blueberries, farm animals and more.
It’s part of a new event called the Arlington Farm Tour Weekend, hosted by the Stilly Valley Chamber of Commerce, that starts on Thursday. Farms will offer U-Picks, mazes, kids activities, treats and education. Hours vary, so be sure to check a farm’s website before heading out.
“Everybody talks about the growth in Arlington, but we want to highlight those farms still part of the economy and food system,” said Diane Krieg, the chamber’s executive director.
