With Guild 45th gone, talk turns to what's next for prime Wallingford property

Development of the Guild 45th property may actually be imminent now that the vintage movie house in the heart of Wallingford has been razed and ownership of the property has been transferred.

The new ownership is a limited limited liability company named for the property's 2115 N. 45th St. address. Public records show the group is represented by Seattle land-use attorney Jack McCullough. Who is behind it isn"t clear; listed publicly as the governor is a trust, also named for the address.

The new owners aren't talking to many people, but they have communicated with Trevor Marsh, owner of The Octopus Bar, which abutted the Guild 45th until the 103-year-old building was demolished in recent months.

All that remains is part of the Guild 45th sign – the letters, not the big "45" – that Marsh claimed about a year ago when he heard workers remove the marquee and went out to see what was going on.

Didn't know it was shut down. I think it's been thirty years since I saw a movie there.
