Marysville schools HR director resigns, second since June

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville School District’s HR director announced her resignation Thursday, just months after taking the position, the district told The Daily Herald.

Brooke Marshall started in the role at the beginning of the school year. In June, the former HR director Alvin Cooper resigned following allegations of mismanagement, and David Burgess took his place. Burgess is now the district’s interim superintendent.

Burgess and the special administrator appointed by the state, Arthur Jarvis, will seek a temporary replacement, district spokesperson Jodi Runyon said. She would not comment further on the resignation.

“The Marysville School District appreciates Ms. Marshall’s efforts to help the district move forward and wishes her well in her future endeavors,” the announcement read.
