The Californication of the Puget Sound region continues. Article doesn't say whether this has a view or not.Windermere real estate agent Phil Greely just helped his client sell an 1,100 square foot house in Ballard for more than $700,000.
The sellers put the house on the market for $559,000. The offers poured in almost instantly and the price just kept escalating, Greely said.
Thats indicative of a trend happening all over Seattle, especially in the hot neighborhoods people want to buy as prices keep rising, but there is a shortage of homes for sale.
The eventual winner of the Ballard house agreed to pay $717,000. A back-up offer was presented for $730,000. That means the buyer paid nearly $652 per square foot for the house.

(2,682 posts)absolutely obscene. The interior pictures in the realtor listing show a real glam staging job. It doesn't change the fact that this place has 3 bedrooms and only 1 bathroom. I guess there are some people who have more money than brains.
