Gutting Obamacare would hurt jobs, families and the economy, Inslee says

Under the Affordable Care Act uncompensated care costs for hospitals in Washington state have been reduced by more than a $1 billion, as nearly 600,000 more people gained health insurance. Meanwhile, the state has added 51,000 health-related jobs – mostly in the private sector.

Getting rid of Obamacare would be a "moral outrage" and would undermine the state's insurance market and overall economy, says Gov. Jay Inslee.

With Republicans in Congress and President-elect Donald Trump eager to repeal the Affordable Care Act, Inslee says he will fight any attempt to do so without a replacement.

"To the extent Congressman (Kevin) McCarthy and Republicans want to work on improving the law, we’re ready to help," Inslee said in a statement. "But any vote that repeals without replacing, or defunds, the care Washingtonians receive – and any plan that takes away health care from Washington families – is one we will fight.”

I see no way we could manage a "soft landing" like '08 and hold it to only a recession.

The Repub desire seems to be to duplicate/repeat the Great Depression.

Fortunately the Democratic Party was able to mitigate their damage until just now. This statement by Karl Rove in 2000 nails what has happened;Permanent Republican Majority. This came after the 2000 Census and many States with GOP Governor's Gerrymandered those States to guarantee only Republicans would be elected. Today we see the Complete Coup by the GOP and the Multi-National's. The GOP has been screaming for a Interest Rate increase, well we got one and the Market went South, looking like this might be the Start of the big one.

And with Entitlement Programs being trashed or eliminated, wow,Billions of dollars taken out of our economy and transfered to the 1% via Tax Breaks will assure us of a major crash and a damn hard landing. Guessing close to 12-15 % unemployment as well as a major Farm Mortgage and Housing Mortgage Collapse once again.
