Assistant to Judge who killed John Doe is wife of lawyer for Walker’s campaign

Last edited Thu May 8, 2014, 06:33 PM - Edit history (2)

So, the judicial assistant to US District Judge Rudolph Randa (who killed the John Doe investigation and ordered all copies of records related to the investigation permanently destroyed) is Cary Biskupic. She is married to Steven Biskupic, a top lawyer for Walker’s campaign. What a sordid mess. Randa has an "interesting" history:

Randa was appointed by Republican President George H.W. Bush in 1992. He has written that O'Keefe "plausibly alleges that he is being investigated solely because of his political ideology."

Randa has presided over several politically charged matters, including the 2007 jury trial of Georgia Thompson, a former member of Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle's administration.

Then-U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic had charged Thompson with allegedly steering a travel contract to a Doyle campaign contributor. After she was convicted, Randa ordered her immediately imprisoned. But the 7th Circuit threw out the conviction, immediately releasing Thompson from custody. Judge Diane Wood had called the evidence against Thompson "beyond thin."

From The Nation:

On Wednesday, US District Judge Rudolph Randa issued a ruling halting an investigation into alleged illegal coordination between the conservative political group Wisconsin Club for Growth and the campaign of Governor Scott Walker. The ruling was immediately dubbed “extraordinary” by legal experts, not least because not only did Randa stop a state investigation into alleged coordination, but he ordered that the evidence collected so far be destroyed—a move that was immediately reversed by a federal appeals court.

Interestingly, it turns out that Randa’s judicial assistant, Cary Biskupic, is married to a top lawyer for Walker’s campaign, which raises potential concerns about impropriety....

... Campaign finance statements show that Friends of Scott Walker paid Steven Biskupic’s law firm $86,000 in legal fees. Moreover, Biskupic has been intimately involved in this probe—court papers revealed that in February, Biskupic was named as an attorney in a state case challenging the investigation into illegal coordination.

Maybe it's all just a big coincidence and Randa didn't even realize who Cary Biskupic is married to...

Not just palm trees, but bananas are now growing in Wisconsin.

Banana republic is a political science term for a politically unstable country whose economy is largely dependent on exporting a limited-resource product, e.g. bananas. It typically has stratified social classes, including a large, impoverished working class and a ruling plutocracy of business, political, and military elites;[1] this politico-economic oligarchy controls the primary-sector productions to exploit the country's economy.[2]

Guatemala
Honduras
Wisconsin

Investigate the assistant and her husband. Suppoena emails and see if their was coordination between Walker and judge. And it sounds like the judge should be investigated. Dont wait for Holder... we know he isnt going to do shit.

As Scuba pointed out, here in Wisconsin we are victims of a corrupt administration, legislature, and court system. The radical Republicans don't even have to pretend they are are legitimate- they control everything. It's like we're prisoners on some sort of giant pirate ship and nobody can rescue us. I really think the level of corruption here is far worse than people realize.

and spent weeks at the 2011 protests, I want to puke at what this state has become. Totally taken over by the Koch brothers. I am sick of it!
