Group files notice of intent to launch recall campaign against Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) may be facing a recall election.

A group calling itself "Save Our City. Milwaukeeans Can't Wait" filed a notice Friday morning saying it intends to launch a recall against Barrett, who won his fourth term as mayor last year.

Barrett said Friday that while "nobody loves a recall" he appreciates the opportunity to talk about Milwaukee's growth under his leadership.

When asked how concerned he was about the recall, Barrett said, "I always take everything seriously in politics."
