because even though I've endorsed Kathleen Vinehout, my positive comments about Art were considered to be "advocating for a Republican."

Arthur is a wonderful, intelligent young man, and my dream election is to have Art win the Republican primary, and Kathleen Vinehout win the Dem primary. Imagine the debates! The two of them would be inspiring, interesting and NICE to each other in the lead-up to the June election!

I've talked to 2 people today in Madison who are considering voting for him in the primary since Barrett is apparently a sure thing.

I don't think anyone will alert on you here.

In my travels around the state it is obvious Falk is hated with a white hot passion by the rightys. Even my brother who hates Walker hates Falk even more(I am working on it). She will be very easy to paint as a Madison liberal by Walker.

Living near her district, I've met her a couple of times. I like her. I love her passion and the heavy thinking she brings to issues. Her healthcare reform plan for Wisconsin was brilliant.

But...

Like Dembotoz, I cannot trust her on choice. When her own constituents confronted her on her anti-choice votes after she had pledged otherwise (because she couldn't win a Dem primary otherwise), she couldn't manage to come up with any real explanation other than that she really is anti-choice to assuage them.

But, even if I could get past that, the deal breaker for me would be her lousy fundraising. She has only managed to raise $40,000 since she joined the race. Every state senate candidate out-raised her, and none of them have state-wide races to run. In some places, you can't win a county courthouse seat for $40k - and that's with six months to get your message out. How the hell will she beat Wanker if she can't raise the money?

It's the clearest sign that she hasn't a clue how to run a statewide race and it scares me to death.

... I was not aware of her stand on choice, and I'll add it as a knock against her. Like you, I think her healthcare plan is good. I don't think she'll win today.

Most importantly, we all need to get behind whoever does win today.

Of course she wants to win, but this is a historic election brought about by the efforts of a million people, many who are just not into regular politics. We can't let this degenerate into something ugly that loses the unique quality of the movement and turns people off. Then Walker wins. Everybody should run against him--there's sure enough there to talk about.

The two candidates I would vote for in the primary, without reservation, are LaFollette and Vinehout, but I know I have to vote for Barrett. I can't imagine what Wisconsin will look like in 2015 if Walker stays in office. And any way I look at it, Barrett is the best candidate we can run against Walker. And if he wins the primary, I hope the other candidates, especially Falk, work their asses off to help him win in June!

Doug's a good guy, but not our best chance to win.

Tom's a good guy, but he lacks progressive credentials, and he already lost to Walker once.

he was the only candidate that refused to show up at our forum in April, and now he's dissing the Dem Unity meeting tomorrow. He's not very pro-labor either. I voted for Vinehout, but will support Barrett in the recall if he is the nominee. I'll support ANY of them in the recall election...I would vote for my cat against Walker.

There really wasn't a line--just 2 people in front of me. I was # 17 at 0730. Polls opened at 0700. Weather wise it's a beautiful spring morning. Barret was last on the Democratic list. Gladys Huber and Isaac Weix ( fake Dems) were first in their columns.
4 more weeks of Walker!! I'm hoping the indictments will be served 2 weeks before the elections (not that it would mean anything to the Repukes!).
