I'm in an area that has Twin Cities stations that are in HD so I rarely watch WI TV stations. I was in shock when I viewed Thompson's latest ad. Looks likes he's taken a couple hits of speed along with his alcohol. What is wrong with my state to have elected this putz as governor multiple times.

They asked him to prove it by doing 50 and he did. So he's full of something.

Senate hopeful Tommy Thompson does 50 push-ups

Thompson, 70, a former governor and presidential candidate, served as health secretary under President George W. Bush. He has bragged to Wisconsin reporters about his physical fitness and talked about how he does 100 push-ups a day.

During a recent visit with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel editorial board, Thompson dropped down and did 50 push-ups for his hosts. And it's all captured on video.

There's a spirited race going on among Republicans for the seat of retiring Democratic Sen. Herb Kohl. A new poll by Marquette University Law School finds Thompson leading the GOP field with 28% support among voters, followed by businessman Eric Hovde with 20%. Former congressman Mark Neumann has 18% support, followed by Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald with 13%.

Rotarian Babbitt. But I have to say, I wish he was governor now. If a repub becomes our senator, I hope it's him. Oh, how far we have come!

Only instead of being killed by a boar, he left to take a post with W's cabinet.

He was a drunken philandering ass who took every opportunity to have a go at the DNR.

He does have two good things (and only two) going for him in my book

1. He was a great advocate for high-speed passenger rail as governor.

2. When the people in his campaign tried to attack Tammy Baldwin's sexual orientation, he told them to knock it off.
