1. GET REGISTERED
Get registered to vote with your current name at your current address by 14 days
before an election. That means by August 7th, 2012 for the primary election, and by
October 23rd, 2012 for the general election. You may also register at the polling place
on Election Day.

2. WHAT TO BRING

Only people voting in a federal election in Wyoming for the first time need to bring ID.
If you are voting in Wyoming for the first time, make sure you bring one of these
items, with your current name and current address on it, to the polls to make sure your
vote counts:
• A current and valid photo ID;
• Utility bill;
• Bank statement;
• Government check;
• Paycheck;
• Lease or contract for residence;
• Student ID & mail addressed to voter’s residence;
• Government document.

3. VOTE!

Election Day is Tuesday November 6, 2012. Polls in Wyoming will
be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time

Vote Absentee
Any registered voter may vote by absentee ballot, and no excuse is required. You may
request an absentee ballot by mail any day of the year except Election Day.
Completed ballots must be received by the county clerk by 7:00 p.m. on Election
Day. You may vote also vote absentee in-person beginning 40 days before the
election, up until the day before Election Day.
