In his address to Canadian Parliament yesterday President Biden stated:
"both of us have cabinets that are both 50 percent women for the first time in history,"
At that point some conservatives refused to stand and applaud, at which point Biden checkmated them by saying:
"even if you don't agree, guys, I'd stand up."

"I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House, with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone." --"Remarks by President Kennedy at a Dinner Honoring Nobel Prize Winners of the Western Hemisphere (161)," April 29, 1962.

(16,926 posts)Related to one of the questions asked in the video, I remember that one of my early thoughts after the assassination of JFK was that one man's career was finished - that being Vaughn Meader - a marvelous comic who had made it big doing impersonations of JFK.
Here's a piece about that very thing:

And, he, too, was very quick with a 'sharp' answer, as demonstrated in this clip of an actual on-stage appearance:
And finally, a summary of his own 'demise:'
Sad - such great loses - a leader with such great promise - and an entertainer with great talent.

(1,654 posts)I apparently lost it in one of my moves. But in the 60s I played it often (and would sometimes cry because of how much he got Kennedy).
