Anybody here from Newfoundland? Do you think your climate is getting warmer?

Did you or relatives or friends get relocated then they did the resettlement project? If so, tell about the experience if you like.

I have been interested in Newfoundland since I read THE SHIPPING NEWS. I have been wanting to take a trip there for some time.

Not in winter, of course. LOL.

Wow. Now that is interesting. My thought is it's because the ice is melting. OMG. nt raccoon May 2017 #2
I'd asked them if those icebergs were normal and mentioned global warming. liberalmuse May 2017 #3

They were showing me pictures they'd taken of icebergs off the coast, which they said was normal for this time of year. Normally, they get about 150 icebergs a year. Lately this has gone up to over 700.

They said yes, they're normal this time of year, but they've increased significantly. I'd say! I found it really disturbing. Nice friendly couple who wanted to show me their iceberg pics and tell me how they saw some of them collapse right before their eyes.

I love when my job gets me in touch with Canadians. Most are so very nice and laid back.
