Filling a US Senate Vacancy in MD if Ben Cardin had to leave before the 2024 MD Democratic Primary.
Who will Governor Wes Moore-D appoint?
1)Angela Alsobrooks- which everyone expects?
2)Donna Edwards- assuming she is not a candidate for the 2024 MD US Senate Election.
Either way, Ben Cardin will be replaced by black female.
The Donna Edwards appointment is to make the Angela Alsobrooks voters and the David Trone voters happy since Edwards is not the candidate to run for a 1st full 6 year term like Angela Alsobrooks.
Another US Senate Vacancy that we must discuss is VT if Bernie Sanders were to vacate.
Who will Governor Phil Scott-R appoint?
