MS Office 2010 Powerpoint question

This is a relatively new thing for me as the school where I taught before seemed to frown on Powerpoint (they had valid reasons having nothing to do with the program, but with the teachers).

Anyway, I am using Powerpoint now but I have a number of presentations in smaller files. The reason is that I have to use different designs. I have figured out that I can put in a hyperlink to the next file to start the next slideshow, but is there a way to automate this so there is a more seamless transition between shows?

Also, how does one include films that do not require using a hyperlink and adjusting the media player to fill the screen?

Thanks!
