Windows 10 just upgraded. It is telling me I am low on disk space on Drive D.

On edit D: is a recovery drive. I have to figure out how increase the size of the partition to turn off the persistent warning I get.

I did not figure out how to change the size of the partition but Windows finally stopped warning me about low disk space. Since those recovery files were put on the laptop at the factory I think they are gonna use the same amount of space from here on since I no longer get updates from the manufacturer.

EDIT AGAIN- the damn warnings are back.

1. Ugh. I don't look forward to this update.

I was warned that it would take longer than a normal amount of time. I chose the option to remind me later. I know I can't put it off indefinitely but I've come to cringe everytime I get the notice of another one with Windows 10.

I don't know how many drives I'm using at the moment. I beginning to think I need to unplug everything before the update. But you said you had no external drives in use at the time. Is that correct?

I really havent had problems in the past other than maybe a few unsaved files. Notepad is the only program I can think of that wouldn't save my files. Still. I expect problems.

8. I updated to Windows 10 over a year ago, my computer has been

f---ed up ever since. I got a message months ago there were updates to Windows 10 available. I download the updates then they failed to install, I got a message that there was a problem and the update couldn't be installed. Now when I start up my computer I get a message that my Windows 10 is outdated and is no longer suppoted by MS. It tells me to down load the latest version and then it fails to install. This goes on every day. I have called the MS consumer no-help line several times and the person in (India?) can't fix it either.
I have had it to two different shops and they have been unable to help either. Microsoft sucks.

10. I've used the free version of Partition Wizard to futz around with partition sizes; it works well...

I'm not using W10 as of yet, but the program covers it. If you scroll down past the first screen on the webpage below, you can click on the links for 'extend system partition' to go to the help section and see what steps to take.
