The first time, several months ago - and I don't remember whether it was on the old laptop or this replacement - Spotlight stopped with the slide pictures on startup - from Bing? with "Like" or "Not a Fan" options. That time after digging around Settings and going through the Personalization thing about Background and such, called HP Support and they went through some formula programming steps and brought it back.

This time, after I clicked "Not a fan" on a few pics in a row, poof Spotlight was gone and only the generic pic is there, this one:

Have done the Personalization/Background/ thing and have gotten nothing.

Halp and tia!

but those two programmer steps in the video are what the Support dude did when I called, and those are *way* above my pay grade. Will study the video a few times, but am not likely to risk doing those myself. I think the first option was a simple thing, no? - might try that one. If the complicated steps are what there are, will probably call Support.
