Does anyone here have experience with phones from Consumer Cellular?

I'm switching to them on Friday and my knowledge of which smart phone is better is minimal at best. I've been using a smartphone for about 7 years so I have some experience using them, but when it comes to which one is the best buy for the money I'm completely at a loss. I currently have an LG phone that I love, but I'm thinking of getting a Motorola or Samsung since those are compatible with the Consumer Cellular network. It's all very confusing. Any advice on which phone they carry is the best value for the money?

I pay extra for the WiFi hot spot (20 gigs) so my monthly fee runs around $65. I don't want to buy an iphone because it costs too much.

I'm leaning toward an android phone for the same reason. Their Samsung phones have a wide range of prices so I don't know which one would be best. I was leaning toward the A53 5g, but that's a lot of money for a phone that runs slowly (according to reviews I've read.)

Apple phones from them, they have a good payment plan and just tack the payment onto your monthly cell phone bill. They have great service at a super price. I rec highly.

I'm not sure if I want an Apple phone just yet. They tend to be a bit pricey.

But you can use your old phone unless it's Verizon. Mine is a Microsoft Surface Duo 2 and works just fine. They use both ATT and T-Mobile networks so your chances of a good connection are pretty great. I've used them for years and any time I've had trouble the help person will stay on the phone with you until it's fixed. Highly recommended. You can sign up at Target if you want to do it in person. Fast 5G too.

I have zero complaints about the phone or the service. And I've always had great luck at Target when buying a new phone.

The sales clerk made an appointment for me at 3:00 to set me up for service. I'll definitely look at the Motorola phones. Thanks for the info.

Have had 3 phones with them for 10 years or so, no problems. Actually just replaced 2 of them with phones from them for phones that "aged out" due to just plain being old and no longer working on any system.

Plan prices are great.

I'm only asking because I don't want to spend a lot of money on a phone I won't like.

I just got 2 of these Avid 589 phones, one for wife and one for 17 yr old, personally I would not use this one, it is fine overall but I like a little more for my use. Wife does not use it for anything but actual calling, and kid just has calling and texting...

My personal phone is a Samsung note 8 that I got through Amazon, it is unlocked and not branded to anyone..I have found that to be best way to go for me.. So depends on your tastes and uses...Unlocked gives you more options

Great customer service, runs on the AT&T network so there's good coverage. Start with the 1 Gb data plan--if you go over they automatically bump you to the next level so you only know because they tell you. I've always had Samsung. Currently an S10e I got three years ago and have no issues with it. I think it's about the least expensive available and quite small at 6x3 inches OD. You really can't buy a bad phone today.

On the topic of cheap phone plans I'm currently with Tello. They run on the t-mobile network. Unlimited talk & text with 1 Gb data (just enough to do email and navigation for a month) for $10. I bought an extra gig data for $14. No issues, good customer service and no contract (after phone is paid for).

Not recommending them, just sayin there's a lot of low cost plans.

I preferred the MotoG but it was incompatible with my hearing aids, so I had to get the iPhone. However, both phones were fine and the Consumer Cellular service is excellent.

appreciatively,
Bright
