I keep getting notifications on my computer from McAfee

15 or 20 a day.
All bogus.

"You have 5 viruses"
"Your payment did not go through"
"Your account will be cancelled"
etc., etc.

I don't use McAfee and I don't have any viruses, at least according to Microsoft.

Any way to block these?

And put in my trendmicro.

Years ago I used macafee and got a terrible virus that wrecked my laptop.

Good luck.

Just delete them or mark as spam.

Scammers will not respect your wishes to unsubscribe. Their email address is already spoofed by the time you get it.

You are just telling them that there is a live person at the other end of that email and they'll sign you up for ten more lists.

Really! This is how it works.

Go to https://www.malwarebytes.com/ and download the free version and do a scan with it. Malwarebytes catches shit no other anti-virus/malware program I use has.

I recommend the free version of CCleaner for Windows to remove bloatware. McCaffee puts stuff all over the place. Browser extensions, start up items. CCleaner consolidates those locations for you. Once you've removed the software and rebooted, you can run the registry cleaner if it doesn't make you nervous.

subscription. I checked my credit card no such charge was made. I think they gave up on me, haven't received anymore for weeks.
