simple trick for naughty computer accessories .sometimes u just have to pull

the wall plug.count 2 5 or 10 shove the wall plug back in. bamgo.
new used printer got stuck in shutdown mode . walked away from it for a bout 4 hours.
came back, still was in shutdown mode.
remembered an simple old /realy old trick i learned a long time ago, PULL THE DAMNN plug to toe wall. so i did . bambo, everything came back on and d was happy . even printed some docs for me nicely.

but unplugging the device is the next step in troubleshooting the problem.

That's why people say to yank the cord or hit the switch on the power strip when you aren't using them. (to save energy!)
Those parts can get hosed, too, and need a restart by recycling the AC power.

Happened to us on a refrigerator "with no reset button"
