Firefox 9.0.1 . stop BBC from feeding

How can I stop the bbc website to stop feeding links to the folder "Latest Headlines"? When I delete it, it simply repopulates.

Extensions: AdBlock or NoScript, depending on the nature of the streaming.

Possibly add an entry in your computers hosts file pointing the resolved URL to 127.0.0.1

Click the Firefox dropdown in the title area => Bookmarks => Bookmarks Toolbar

Right-click on "Latest Headlines" and select "Delete"?

I did that and my Latest Headlines are now gone.

Optionally, you can...
Click the Firefox dropdown and click on the Bookmarks item, this will open up the Library browser where you can navigate and manage the different "folders" and "properties".
