I have an ipod 5th generation that won't hold a charge.

I use it mostly for listening to music and podcasts. It almost never lost any of it's charge for all the yeas I've had it. Then, a few weeks ago even if I wasn't using it, more than half it's charge would be gone in a few hours. It would be 100% charged and I would go to use it and it would be down to 50% or less. I thought maybe it was the battery wearing out, so I just had the battery replaced and picked it up yesterday. It cost me $90. It was completely dead so I charged it to 100%. Within a few hours I had lost 25% power, not even using it. This morning I charged it to 100%, didn't use it all day, just turned it on and it's below 50% again.

So either the guy who put in the new battery scammed me, or there's something wrong with the ipod, or there is something I don't know about draining the battery.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks.

Sounds like you need to take it back to the battery guy. PoliticAverse Nov 2016 #1

And be careful with it, maybe keep it somewhere if it catches fire it won't burn down the house.
