Studiometry, a waste? Evernote kicks butt? DevonThink still eludes me.

I have tried to make this a part of my practice, but I end up using other things far faster and with more ease. In fact, the more I try to use it, the less I find that want to use it.

Anyone else have a similar experience? Yeah it does contacts and can do a project overview, but there are some iPad apps that are far better.

Evernote just works. I get to prepare things, organize them, and set up stuff, and have it ready cross platform. The more I use it, the more I like it.

DevonThink.
Sometimes, this program looks like a solution in search of a problem. Yet, even though I always feel I am missing a key point with it, I still get a lot out of it. Maybe it is simply the mere act of typing, linking things, and thinking about an issue, sometimes from different views, while I use this program, but I always feel that I do not waste my time with it. (something that always happens with Studiometry). When I ask Devon to do more, it does it, and even so, while I use it and rely on it, it seems that there is a hell of a lot more under the hood that I know nothing about.

DevonThink Personal is 'looks like a solution in search of a problem' because DevonThink Pro is the full package. And is way too much for most people's needs.

Evernote has Finally gotten their web clipping extension right for Safari, so I've gone all in and even paid the $45 for 1GB of upload each month.

iPad 3 is coming in three weeks and Evernote is the killer app of choice.

the more you like it. Th syncing function is one the best. Evernote is like when you go gem hunting hunting in North Carolina, and they give you two huge buckets of crap. As you start going through it, you find garnets, rubies, and some incredibly beautiful and huge crystals that are just awesome. Evernote is like that huge crystal.

Is it perfect? naw, but for what it does, it really does it well.

$45 a year for 1GB a month.

Try it out. It works great. Data synced on all your devices.
