Classic iPod with lectures and music that I love has a dead battery. Apple can't help

and Mac Made Easy (local company) which I don't like to support because the owner is a winger, doesn't fix them any more.

I see how-tos on youtube but wondered if anyone knows how to avoid having to reset and lose all my goodies.

Thanks everybody, aloha.

Will it come up when plugged in? If so, transfer everything to Itunes on your computer hlthe2b Dec 2018 #1

If it won't work with AC power, might it be something other than the battery? regnaD kciN Dec 2018 #7

and then see if there is a 3rd party source for a battery. For a while, at least, it seems I saw some for ipod nanos. I don't know if they had them for other models.

The apple store people said it was 50-50 I’d have to reinstall the operating system.

Wish me luck!
