Holy S**T! THE REAL Reason WHY CongrASS Hates ObamaCARES…..

The Affordable Care Act says that starting in 2014, members of Congress and their staffs can no longer get their health insurance through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, as they have in the past. Instead, these federal employees will have to get insurance through the exchanges set up by the Affordable Care Act.

There you have it.

The U.S. CongrASS does NOT want to be like you and me.

WAKE UP AMERICAN VOTERS.

Let Me type that for you again……“The Affordable Care Act says that starting in 2014, members of Congress and their staffs can no longer get their health insurance through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, as they have in the past. Dawn breaks over Marblehead! Hello???!!! The push back from the GOP. This is spelled out here! They have to go out and buy their own Frigging Insurance! First time I read this factoid!

The chips just fell into place, they hate the law because they now have to pay out of pocket. No more free rides to the takers anymore! Screw you GOP!

Go Obamacare! I love it.

http://money.cnn.com/2013/09/09/pf/taxes/obamacare-taxes-individuals/index.html

Medicare surtax on wages and investment income: The law raised the Medicare tax on wages and subjects investment income to a Medicare tax for the first time.

But the changes only affect high-income households.

They will owe another 0.9% on their earned income over $200,000 ($250,000 if married). That's on top of the 1.45% Medicare tax that they currently pay on all of their wages.

For those making more than $200,000 ($250,000 if married) and who have investment income, they also may be subject to a 3.8% tax on at least a portion of their capital gains and dividends.

7. Woo-hoo. I heartily applaud any new/additional taxes on the greedy a-holes at the top.

Especially any taxes on capital gains and dividends. And given what they have already taken out of the mouths of both the poor and the middle class, I only wish that tax rate was 60%.

that they have their great gov benefits through Congress but they don't want Americans to have theirs through Obamacare.

My bad.. they have to contribute too.. Wow.. but, it passed Congress in 2009 so too bad for them there were more selfless people back then.

Selfish Reps who cheer at cutting people's Snap benefits who need them.. will now have to pay out of pocket for their Health Insurance!

Btw, as someone suggested on TOD.. that cheering like mindless hyenas would make a good ad for our Democrats.

As an extra added perk.. it's called Obamacare thanks to their derisiveness(another moment when we Dems made lemonade) and will go down in History as a Democratic President helping millions of people have access to affordable health care!

the exchanges are substantially like the (federal employee) marketplace they chose from now. And we taxpayers are still going to be picking up the tab.

but that is one unfortunate consequence of the ACA, which Office of Personnel Management has been trying to resolve. Repugs don't like it because it will enhance President Obama's approval, and they hate him.

The Federal Employees Health Benefits Plan may be the BEST program, with excellent 'exchanges,' and those who use it, like me, a former federal employee, DO pay premiums, it is NOT free, there are several types of plans as with ACA, 'bronze, gold, platinum.'

Many have erroneously argued that Congressmembers and their staffs don't pay anything but its not the case; they (and we) pay premiums as do most people whose health insurance is provided by and subsidized by their employer.

a large pool, so we have clout. Now those not in government will have the same clout. The ACA won't affect my coverage because our plan meets or exceeds ACA standards.

Thanks, she!

I agree with Hillary on this one - “I think it’s a great moment to just think about what this will mean for the millions and millions of Americans who have already benefited from the Affordable Care Act and some many more who will continue to do so.”

I LOVE OBAMACARE!

but they'll do fine at all the other levels. I am all for congress people having to live by the same rules as the rest of us.
