"If folk really like you, they'll feed you," I say as a joke.

Perhaps three weeks ago, I had sat down with her to discuss our voter registration drive. She said then she was willing to try but had some anxieties: in particular, she didn't know if she could knock doors.

Today we send her out in a small team to knock doors for the first time. A few hours later, they all come back, and she's ready for more. Complete strangers have been overjoyed to see her on their stoops!

"If folk really like you, they'll feed you," I say -- as a joke. But, in fact, people today have actually been offering to feed her!

Nobody ever offers me food, by the way.

also asked if I had moved recently and I told the man that was a great question to ask. People forget if they have moved, most likely they will have a new polling place when it comes time to vote. I saw a few other people walking around asking also. Wow, this is March but the move is on, only seven months to go.

Request their mail-in ballots or to register where they are. They move around so much and are so busy that it slips their minds. In fact, send them the link to do it online.
