Man attempts world-record 48-hour Ferris wheel ride

If you go to Navy Pier this weekend, you might see a man who won’t get off the ferris wheel.

Navy Pier operations manager Clinton Shepherd plans on riding the Ferris wheel from 2:30 Friday afternoon until 2:30 Sunday afternoon.

The planned 48-hour ride would shatter the current world record of 30 hours and 35 seconds.

A fireworks display will mark the moment, if Shepherd breaks the record.
