Elluit Gonzalez, a 38-year-old from Orlando, is accused of leaving his sleeping 7-year-old daughter inside a car while he visited the Diamond Club, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Former NFLer Monty Ray Grow allegedly left his 3-year-old daughter in the car, unattended, while he partied at Diamond Dolls in Clearwater. He was arrested on a child abuse charge. The child was uninjured.
Strippers do it too! Brittany Roman, 21, allegedly left her little boy to walk around their hotel lobby while she danced at the Diamond Club in Orlando, the Sun Sentinel reports.

(920 posts)Irresponsible and wrong, but I do see a major difference between leaving your child to go out to a strip club versus leaving your child to go work at said strip club.
Sort of like that mother who left her kids in the car while she went to work at a grocery store. Daycare is often more money than a family can bring in, which makes working impossible. You shouldn't leave little ones home alone while you work, but I can understand the desperation of the situation.
On the other hand, leaving your kids unattended to go clubbing is insane.

I thought that I had it in me to make dark humor jokes and laugh at morbid things. But your post has helped me find my limit. I know there is a casey anthony joke in here but I just can't bear to think about it.

(3,530 posts)My dad did it all the time. I played in the parking lot with other kids while our parents were inside and even made a couple of long-term friends.
I'm not saying that it was OK then or now, but it certainly wasn't unusual.
