Wedding color scheme argument leads to SC stabbing

Last edited Fri Dec 27, 2013, 12:27 PM - Edit history (1)

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Richland County deputies say a 34-year-old woman stabbed her fiance on Christmas Day after they argued over what colors should be used in their wedding.

Investigators say the man was trying to leave a home near Blythewood after the argument when Krysta James attacked him around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies say the man was stabbed in the upper body, but his injuries weren't life threatening.

James is charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. She remains in jail on a $10,000 bond and it isn't known if she has an attorney.

Despite my extensive efforts (a 5 sec. search of Google news) I have not been unable to uncover the crucial missing information in this case: What were the disputed colors? What if the groom insisted the wedding colors be black and mustard or mint green and Barbie pink? Surely a judge would have to rule that Ms. James's actions were justifiable.

There sure are some testy women who turn up in weird news. Despite my reputation as a man-hating feminazi, I have never once attacked a man with a ceramic squirrel or stabbed anyone over a color scheme at a wedding. I don't know what the fuss is all about.
