San Antonio Police: Man's roommate smashed his testicle Christmas Eve

SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio man had to have a testicle removed after his roommate smashed it with a cell phone on Christmas Eve, according to police.

Steven Sanders, 27, told police that he was sleeping when Aaron Alexander, 28, hit him in the testicles with a cell phone. Sanders told police that Alexander also pointed a handgun at him during the incident.

One of Sanders' testicles was so damaged that it had to be surgically removed, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Alexander was charged Monday with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. At the time of his arrest he also was charged with drug possession.

He was being held Tuesday on bail totaling $115,000.

There's gotta be a back-story to that horrific mess...not necessarily in mitigation, but there has to be a reason why the attacker thought that was a good idea.

Unless the roommate was high on bath salts or something...? But even high people eventually come down, and this roommate is MAD for some reason, threatening to kill the guy and all...

I mean, really, who comes in on Xmas Eve and "decks the balls" with a cellphone, for no good reason? Or any stated reason at all?

I wonder if they'll televise the trial?
