(11,581 posts)She has gotten so little of it from so many people. She has been very respectful of Sanders and his supporters, and I think it is the right tone in attitude to adopt right now for all of us. I will try...really hard Starting today.
Mahalo for this Cha! You are awesome!

(32,609 posts)Like most suffragists they were not famous but I think of them often as Hillary and all women move forward.

(23,657 posts)I posted about two of my female ancestors to remind all of us to think about what/who is in our DNA. I have done a lot of genealogy work with a focus on the women. It is a little more difficult because of the name change thing but worth it.
Let me put it another way... I am an early second wave activist feminist and knew I didn't self-generate. Turns out I am from a long line of kick-ass women from both sides of the family.
On their birthdays I send out emails to my extended family members with a little bio info. My brother asked me a few years ago why I didn't send announcements about the men in the family. I laughed and told him they always get most of the attention and if he wants that info sent out he can do it himself. Meanwhile, remember the women.
