#HillaryMen: The Hillary Email Scandal Is About Making A Powerful Woman Bow Down And Apologize (HRC)

In the aftermath of a Hillary Clinton interview with Andrea Mitchell, MSNBC is running an online poll asking if Hillary should apologize for using a private email at the State Department.

Here are some headlines emerging from the interview:

Daily News: Hillary Clinton 'takes responsibility' for email controversy, but won't apologize for using private server

The Hill: Hillary Clinton refuses to apologize for email choices

Daily Caller: Hillary Clinton Doesn’t Apologize For Private Emails

This comes on the heels of weeks of (mostly male) pundits condescendingly suggesting Hillary should apologize for her actions.

No, Hillary should not apologize for doing what she was legally entitled to do.

This isn't about the emails anymore. It never was. It's about making a woman bow down before the powers that be, something Hillary has never done.

Hillary is the one of the most popular women in U.S. political history and the first with a legitimate shot at the White House. She is bold, dignified, and brilliant. She is Hillary Clinton in a world where there isn’t supposed to be a Hillary Clinton. Because of that, the institutional purveyors of gender bias want to tear her down.

Words like “contrite,” “apologize,” and “sorry” imply submission. Hillary’s detractors want to see her grovel. They will hammer away at the email faux-scandal until they get what they want....

All they want is her contrition and her acknowledgement that they "got" her.

Nothing else matters, especially not the future of America and the world.

And Trump is allowed his nativist nationalist fascism with breathless giddiness!

Disgusting.

Answer. If it is an apology someone wants then they need to say they are after an apology even though she does not have anything to apologize. The apology needs to come from those who are demanding an apology when they have not been successful in developing their scandal.

It's a sign of weakness and that is what the critics want.

Like Dick Durbin blubbering on the floor of the Senate.

And when you apologize the critics only beat up on you some more.

Mitchell was so hoping for the got you question. I thought some of her questions were quite rude.
If Hillary did apology can you imagine how the media would have exploded.
God I hope this circus FBI investigation wraps up soon.

“When the unclassified systems of the United States government, which has a full-time information security staff, regularly gets hacked, the idea that someone keeping a private server in the renovated bathroom of a server farm in Colorado, is more secure is completely ridiculous,” Snowden said, referring to the location of Clinton’s controversial email server.

Snowden: Others Get Prosecuted for What Hillary Clinton Did

Can we hold both notions in our mind at the same time that while this is a political witch-hunt, that Mrs. Clinton's actions here were shady at worst and irresponsible at best? It hurts our credibility to say otherwise. It is possible to concede this point and correctly assert that the noise in the media is a politicized side show.

Unlike the State Department, Hillary's server didn't get hacked. Snowden, on the other hand, took his laptop with classified information he stole and absconded with it to China--ground zero of anti-US hacking. Then he took up residence in Russia, second only to China for hackers targeting the US.

Quoting Snowden doesn't give you a lot of credibility on this issue. Nor does coming into a Hillary haven group to bash Hillary.

And that it was not the best decision. But it was the same decision made by many men before her, including Colin Powell and Jeb Bush, and none of them were accused of being a liar or being duplicitous just because they used a private email address.

She did not break any laws nor hurt anyone. She just used the same email address for personal and business, like virtually everyone has done at some point with regard to some emails.

It is a GOP-generated faux scandal that distracts from the
issues that matter.
