Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumRelief. Personal note from this morning (HILLARY GROUP).
My hairdresser, Gail, is an extreme liberal and feminist. I mean she is a a "got arrested with Cindy Sheehan in New York and went to jail" kind of liberal. Has her own little in-house operation so she can freely speak her mind. I love and admire her, but I sort of dreaded going to see her today because I was sure I was in for a Bernie Sanders harangue I don't want or need. Very pleasantly surprised when I saw she had a "Hillary 2016" sticker on her mirror. When I mentioned it she said she thinks the next four years are critical and she thinks Hillary is the only Democratic candidate who can win in the general election. She, like many of us, is scared to death that one of the Republicans wins and tries to take us back to 1950. She said her sticker never fails to start conversation and she has convinced several Sanders supporters. Very nice, and love the job she did on may hair!

(3,731 posts)I thought some of my favorites here would be all in for Sanders, but have seen that they're supporting Clinton.

(15,682 posts)this is not real life. A shit load of BS supporters became members here just last month. I was clicking on profiles for about a week when a huge uptick in the vile insults were being flung by members I had never heard of. I trust most of them are not who they claim to be.

(8,515 posts)how can DU keep this from happening. Perhaps only registered democrats for a certain time . Limit any new members when the time for voting is near. Even limited participation until the party emerges. Im sure others have ideas also. I realise that this is not what any of us would like to do, but I am really fed up with this election and the"feel the berns". I like Bernie, but to even picture nim as President is difficult. He's a good senator,,,,, long may he wave.!

(58,785 posts)one analyst was pointing out that Bernie has mobilized a bunch of previously disengaged people who had never been involved in or donated to a campaign before. This is great, of course, and perhaps it might explain at least some of the new participants here.
Hopefully they will come to realize the tremendous difference between whoever our nominee is and any GOP nominee by the time the primary season is over and continue to be involved. It's kinda important that we unite to win this thing, after all. We'd win almost everything if only more Democrats voted.

(15,682 posts)a message about the importance of supporting all the democratic races. Let voters know that a democratic president will be weakened without a democratic majority in the Senate, at least.
