You can set your clock by this: turn on MSNBC any morning of the week and you’ll immediately be served a big, rancid dose of Hillary hate. Women will instantly recognize the bullying taunts, the condescending eye rolls, the seething sarcasm. It is the sound and sight of misogyny in action, the verbal bashing of a woman because she’s a woman.

No male candidate is ever treated with the same disdain and disrespect. No self-respecting network would ever stand for it. Hillary Clinton is the sole exception; the rules of decency and dignity do not apply to her when it comes to Morning Joe.

Named for former Florida congressman Joe Scarborough, a reliably radical right-wing member of Newt Gingrich’s infamous Contract with America crew, Morning Joe is Opie and Anthony for the Beltway political set. In the 2016 cycle, MSNBC’s “morning zoo for politics” has devolved into a daily frat boy fest of grins, sneers, giggles and endless sexist dog whistles.

All that’s missing is Baba Booey.

As Hillary Clinton attempts to make history as America’s first woman president, Morning Joe has emerged as the global headquarters of the He-Man Hillary Haters Club, with Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski presiding over a daily boys club that relentlessly attacks Hillary's candidacy, her accomplishments, her very humanity. It is an ugly and self-righteous spectacle, rife with misleading allegations, insinuations and false indignation. Searching for words to describe Morning Joe’s particular brand of anti-Hillary invective, we’ve described it as “an unhealthy and unhinged combination of envy, awe, muted rage and dripping disdain.”...

2. Not much has changed

Rachael Maddow is so all in on Bernie I can't stand her. Chris Matthews is a media whore who trashes the left and kisses the rights ass when they come one. Lastly I save the worst for last and it's not Joe. Mika just parrots everything Joe says. I guess it's the only way she can keep her job since she has nothing that resembles talent.

I just don't watch cable news anymore and I hid MSNBC on my channel guide.

7. It appears MSNBC's Right-turn has backfired, driving ratings even lower. What were they thinking?

Where was their opportunity going Right? And for pure obnoxiousness, Morning Joe runs Trump a close race. Of course, I realize "the Beltway" loves Joe (although probably not as much as he loves his wannabe-Preppy self).

8. This not about ratings

MSNBC is part of basic cable packages and as such is paid to be on my cable package. Ratings don't really matter and the move to so called "hard news" is just code for going right.

5. Olbermann's comment about taking HRC to the woodshed and not coming back showed MSNBC for what it is

Olbermann stated that HRC should be taken to the woodshed and not come back. It was a recommendation that she be murdered. Olbermann showed his true character in that statement. I never watched his show after that night. Such a statement made toward any other candidate would have meant an immediate firing and possible charges.

Matthews is almost as bad. He is extremely creepy and cannot speak without drooling and spitting. I feel sorry for the people who have to clean the set after his show. I do not know how he has a job, probably he is a very useful idiot willing to stab anyone in the back for Mr. Griffin or maybe he has embarrassing pictures in a vault. Griffin is an vile man determined to do the dirty work for his masters. We can only hope MSNBC goes down in flames very quickly.

It is a real shame that Karen Finney, Ed Shultz, Rev. Sharpton, Joy Reid and Martin Bashear no longer have shows. Mr. Bashear was canned over his statement of disgust about Palin's racist dog whistles. He said nothing that should not have been said. I thought he would reappear very quickly as he is so talented and smart. However, it goes to show the depths of racism that infest the media empires in the US.

Joy Reid is a tremendous talent, just so smart, as is Karen Finney. I never liked Rev. Sharpton until I started watching his show. His media appearances were always heavily edited to show him in a very bad light to white audiences, more dog whistles and I fell for it. Once I watched his show, it made me very angry how he was misrepresented in the media. It really opened my eyes to the level of how white Americans are manipulated about race and racism. I am still one pissed off old white lady and now that I know what to look for I see more of it everyday and get madder everyday. Of course, it is the oldest trick in the book, divide and conquer. Homophobia, sexism, religious bigotry and the old standby, racism are all used by those in power keep the rest of us squabbling for the scraps. The working class and middle class white people are just so easily manipulated with these tools of divide and conquer. It is very sad how easy it is to do.

Rachel Maddow is unwatchable now. Chris Hayes still has some useful information, but Maddow has jumped the shark. Of course, Lawrence O'Donnell has a permanent spot, another useful idiot, for his anti-Clinton fetish. Mika Brzezinski and Andrea Mitchell have to be an embarrassment for real female news people, everywhere. Those two act like junior high school girl bullies.
