If news headlines were honest. cbs news: "We came, we saw, we lied." (HRC Group)

If "news" headlines were honest. cbs "news:" "We came, we saw, we lied."

If the news reported as honestly, frequently, and energetically about republicans as they report dishonestly, frequently, and energetically about Democrats, the republican party would be gone within 5 years.

During a series of interviews in Kabul, Afghanistan on October 20, 2011, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton received a text about another, unconfirmed report of gaddafi's capture.

cbs "news" captured those few moments on video. I've included a rough transcript of each clip. Some news sources used the first clip of the video; others used the second.

(HRC) Yes, we came, we saw, he died
(back of talking head) Do you think it had anything to do with your book?
(HRC) No, no, I'm sure it didn't

Clinton on Qaddafi: "We came, we saw, he died"

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shared a laugh with a television news reporter moments after hearing deposed Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi had been killed.

"We came, we saw, he died," she joked when told of news reports of Qaddafi's death by an aide in between formal interviews.

Clinton was in Tripoli earlier this week for talks with leaders of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC).

The reporter asked if Qaddafi's death had anything to do with her surprise visit to show support for the Libyan people.

"No," she replied, before rolling her eyes and saying "I'm sure it did" with a chuckle.

That sums up coverage of the Clintons by media, and sadly, often on DU.
