MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Hillary Clinton made a surprise appearance at the Marc Anthony concert at the AmericanAirlines Arena Friday.

CBS4’s Entertainment Reporter Lisa Petrillo, who was there on special assignment for Entertainment Tonight, spoke exclusively with Clinton who said she was grateful for the singer’s support.

“It’s a nice opening door to the Latin community,” Petrillo told her.

“Well it’s a very important opportunity to really get my message out through someone who was had so much credibility, who has done so much in their lifetime. I am appreciative of that,” Clinton responded.

“Can you do the salsa?” Petrillo asked.

Hillary Clinton made a surprise visit to AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami where Marc Anthony was performing Friday. She joined the singer on stage after the second song.

Marc Anthony said (via Billboard): “This is like family. I want to recognize someone who came to the concert tonight. Please, with all the respect in the world, let’s hear it for Hillary Clinton.”

Afterwards Clinton launched “Latinos for Hillary” on social media.
