Am I the last to know this?

HUD Secretary Julián Castro Endorses Hillary Clinton

October 15, 2015 1:26 PM ET

Hillary Clinton talks with Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro after both spoke at an event in March.

Clinton-Castro 2016?

Julián Castro endorsed Hillary Clinton on Thursday. The secretary of Housing and Urban Development is the second Obama Cabinet official to endorse Clinton — even as Vice President Biden is still considering getting in the race. (Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack also endorsed Clinton earlier this year.)

Castro would likely be on the vice-presidential short lists for whomever wins the Democratic nomination.

"I am really going to look hard at him for anything, because that is how good he is," Clinton said in Texas when asked by Javier Palomarez, president and CEO of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, if Castro would make a good vice president.

I adore both of them.

They air on MSNBC and creep me out.

Must be awkward for Rand:

Former Rep. Ron Paul is warning in television commercials of a calamitous U.S. financial crisis that could bring civil unrest and a stock market collapse—a crash “infinitely worse than the crisis of 2008.’’ He urges viewers to prepare by buying a “Survival Blueprint,” a book of advice from an investment research firm.

The commercial is being broadcast nationally at a time when his son, Sen.Rand Paul of Kentucky is trying to build a more mainstream presidential campaign than those of his father, a libertarian who was regarded by many in the Republican establishment as a fringe candidate in his three bids.

But I remember back in 2007 when Ron Paul drew huge crowds and millions of dollars each time he did a "Money Bomb" campaign--including once when he got $6 million in just 24 hours. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2007-12-17-ronpaul-fundraising_N.htm
