Everyone knows it. If they say otherwise they're lying.
So what will the scorched earth Bernie supporters do? How do they save face?

(11,746 posts)I'm trying to remember what happened after President Obama won. Since they're acting so similar now, I'm sure that's a template.

(2,034 posts)I am just trashing every anti-Hillary thread that pops up as well as every Pro-Bernie post that comes up. General Discussion primaries is also trashed. I'm so tired of the lies they keep posting.

(11,746 posts)I lived through this as a President Obama supporter.
Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.

Oh and his fans are becoming more disgusting as they become more desperate. Actually Swift Boating Bill and Hillary.

(11,746 posts)Our current advantage is that Republicans embraced the radical right when they courted the Dixiecrats, engaged in the Southern Strategy, and reversed William F. Buckley's condemnation of the John Bircher types. Now the radical right is revolting against the Republican establishment because Republicans cannot possibly keep their promises. Their ideology is radical and impossible.
You cannot shrink government. It never happens and in fact it grows faster under Republicans. Smaller government is an empty bumper sticker slogan: a lie from top to bottom.
And I could go right down the line.
The radical left, by contrast, isn't part of the Democratic coalition. We won in 2008 and 2012 without them. They hurt us in 2000 but only because they didn't vote for Gore, and if we are to believe them they wouldn't have voted even if Nader wasn't on the ballot. Besides we did actually win and we probably would have had enough votes to prevent the Republicans on the Supreme Court from stealing it if Gore had embraced Clinton.
In other words the radical left does us a favor by being odious and obnoxioius. The more odious and obnoxious, the better. We don't want them. They would be a scourge, just like the radical right is to the Republicans.
Someone's gonna need some salve for that Bern.
Serious though, the Left/Right can actually pull the nation in a direction,
but the Far Left/Right tend more often to cause gridlock (either with each
other or with their more moderate counterparts).

(28,270 posts)and Bill that the teahaddist republicans will use here at Democratic Underground, many times over.
Its sickening that this garbage is allowed on a democratic support board.
I can only hope the TOS will be enforced once there is no doubt that Hillary will be the nominee of the party. About March 2, I believe.
If not I'm out of here and will find another board that is in fact, pro-democratic party.

(1,968 posts)Last time around, I was a modest Clinton supporter. When Obama won, however, I was perfectly happy with that result as I considered him an impressive candidate.
Of the 30-35% Bernie support, fully half is probably in the same range as I was for Clinton in 2008. They'll vote for Mrs. Clinton and be pretty happy with that decision.
The other half may disengage and stay home, continue to attack Mrs. Clinton, or eventually get won over.
My prediction is that those 15-17% follow about an even split on those three paths.
On the up side, those that would stay home will be the sorts that don't generally vote anyway. No loss.
