(2,074 posts)I was an Obama supporter (although I could not vote) and felt antipathy for Hillary. But her response to the loss and her support of Obama earned my respect. I can imagine how the loss must have hurt, and yet she stepped up and did the right thing. And now she's back for another round. Gotta respect her toughness!

(15,438 posts)That's always been her goal in elections because she understands that tearing the Democratic Party down only helps Republicans.
Hillary Clinton, just like President Obama, believes in RESOLUTIONS not revolutions!
She'll make an incredible president for us all.

And, he's said since it was one of the best decisions he's ever made.

(60,349 posts)I and my daughter were fortunate enough to get up on stage and stood next to her as it was a very small stage. But that was only the 3rd time my daughter Hillary met Hillary Clinton.

(60,349 posts)I was a community organizer for the Obama campaign and we did a lot of canvasing.
When you see the people who are up front or on stage for those events, they usually were very heavily involved.
Funny thing though, in 2012, I tried to volunteer and past canvassing, they never wanted much. Different campaign organizers. Did manage to get my daughter on stage for one event with Obama that time around.

(15,438 posts)But I know you must've put in some major time, so you and your daughter deserve a grand reward like that. Honestly.
I guess it was different in 2012 since President Obama didn't have a primary challenger? Could that be why?

Dayum! I hope you got LOTS of pictures of both times! I would've. lol

Then Senator Clinton and her husband made numerous appearances in support of Obama/Biden. Giuliani and the Republican Primary candidates did not do the same for McCain.

(4,667 posts)This will be the first time since 1988 (Ronald Reagan) that the country will have a sitting president out on the campaign trail. This is a huge advantage. This is why I'm not worried about turnout. The President will drive minority turnout up like he did in 2008 and 2012.
BTW... President Obama has the exact same approval rating Ronald Reagan had at this point in his term.
The 2008 Democratic Primary was the GOAT. There were 2 great candidates that year. And we will have 2 great Presidents and 16 years in the White House coming out of that historic primary race!

(4,667 posts)Obama legacy- like FDR he saved the country from the Great Depression. After era upon era of failed attempts, finally built a path leading to health care for all Americans.
Hillary Clinton legacy- Took the country to history economic prosperity. She locked in a liberal majority on the court to assure all people regardless of gender or background could be equal before law.
Not a bad duo at all!
