Sanders says he has caucused with Dems since Day 1--not true

He says this loud and long, but it isn't true. He himself has admitted otherwise in the past. It seems he says he has caucused with the Democrats since Day 1 because it sounds better than the truth--now that he is running as a Democrat for the nomination

He admitted in 1993 that he did not caucus with the Dems on the Larry King show. He was already in his second session in the house, and the article says they did not know when he started caucusing with the Dems--they reached out to his Senate office for clarification and did not receive a reply.
He won his seat in Congress in 1990--actually started his first session in 1991.
He regularly says that he has always caucused with the Democrats ever since he took office, that he has caucused with the Democrats for 25 years, or that he has caucused with the Democrats since Day 1 (lately he says this one in his usual talking points). This simply is not true, and he knows it.

according to the article, he tried to caucus with the Dems from Day 1, and we wouldn't let him.

Much bigger issue is him admitting he only ran for president as a Democrat to use the access that the party affords him.

Especially since he is casting himself as trustworthy and that his opponent is not--that he is the honest candidate.
The article also states that "...during the 1990s, Sanders often tried to distance himself from the Democratic Party, both while speaking on the House floor and to the press."
He now regularly insists that he has caucused with the Democrats since Day 1: at his rallies, during Town Halls, and in interviews.
If Hillary Clinton was deliberately inaccurate with a claim she made she would be called out as a liar.

He talks about how important it is.
Also, when you listen to his interviews back when he was a mayor he was saying the exact same rhetoric he uses now about a rigged political system, the wealth going to the top, etc., yet he didn't vote?
Good grief!
