Hillary Clinton

Pragmatism over populism? For many of the 1,100 Democrats who went to the Grady Cole Center on Monday night for Hillary Clintons campaign rally, the answer was yes.
Shes electable, Bruce Henderson of Charlotte told me while waiting for Clinton to arrive. I dont think Bernie (Sanders) is electable, hes not a practical choice. I want to use my vote to its best advantage.
Teresa Hernandez, owner of Pura Vida art gallery in NoDa, told me Clinton offers substance while Sanders is more about making promises. Hernandez, who moved to the U.S. at age 5, said that as a woman and as a minority, she believes Clinton has the experience to get things done in Washington.
Terry Dix of Charlotte said Clinton is defending his rights as a gay man. Asked whether he had qualms about Clinton pivoting from opposing same-sex marriage, Dix said, Everyone evolves. I have always loved Hillary Clinton. Ive always loved Bill Clinton. I wanted her to run for president.
