Very little politics (have2 brothers who are strong Catholics and simply will not vote Hillary or Democrat--but both sister in laws will vote Hillary---we have our primary in 8 days
Also sad --two young nephews voting Bernie--but when talked with them--they barely knew nothing about his agenda.

(297,975 posts)That's the problem with a lot them I think..

(9,967 posts)Most people want the nest president to build on Obama's legacy (Hillary) not a "revolution" (Sanders)
Cha
(297,975 posts)build on his legacy and make her own.
Hillary's campaign is positive .. that's a true revolution.

(5,044 posts)High speed rail construction going on everywhere, new buildings in many of the cities (especially San Francisco), I think Sacramento is building the most technologically advanced arena in the country (they recently revamped their airport which is amazing), recently wrapped the new Bay Bridge and the Caldecott 4th bore, highway widening of HWY 99 and so, so many more HUGE projects!
California worked WITH the President and because of it they are building their way out of the remnants of the great recession. So nice to see his approval rating where it should be!
Great post and good morning my dear friend Cha!
Cha
(297,975 posts)Yes, great things going on in California and President Obama is a part of that. It's not the doom and gloom that BS preaches.

(37,458 posts)But organizing a state with more than 7.4 million Democrats and an additional 4.1 million nonpartisan voters who can cast Democratic ballots this year is a giant exercise unlike any Sanders has pulled off in the campaign so far, as he conceded in Wednesdays interview.
Essentially he is trying to do what Barack Obama could not do in his 2008 primary battle here with Clinton and doing it without Obamas strength among African American voters.
"Her coalition is very similar to what it was in 2008," said Bill Burton, an Obama campaign aide in 2008 and now a California-based Clinton backer. "And shell probably do so much better than she did with African Americans, now that President Obama isnt in the race."
Arizona, where Clinton won on Tuesday, is a far smaller state than California, though its demographic makeup is somewhat similar. The results there were not good news for the Vermont senator particularly if they are replicated to the west
