1. Maria Corina Machado calling her mom to tell her about the false flag attacks...

Maria Corina Machado, the only known case in the history of medicine of a person acquiring symptoms of nasal fracture five days after the incident!

What I do know is that a couple of hours after having her nose "broken", she went to Globovisión TV for an interview... instead of going to a hospital. And in the following day she went to a parade. She must be very brave to endure all this pain of having a broken nose and only looking for help almost a week later... I once broke my arm when I was a teenager. If the pain is somewhat similar, I can't understand how she felt so comfortable in the interviews she gave, instead of screaming "take me to a hospital NOW".

Must be a miracle...

You do not get to decide how every single person gets to react to something.

I broke both my arms as a child. I also broke my nose in a separate incident. The pain is not similar whatsoever.

12. My dad got his nose broken in fights so many times that he stopped even going to the doctor.

His nose ended up looking like an overripe eggplant after the second or third break. I don't recall him complaining of pain, just difficulty breathing.

Obviously (to me at least) not all broken noses are exactly equal.

13. The x-ray suggests it's a hairline fracture.

Probably would have healed on its own.

But clearly she decided this was the best opportunity to get nose reconstruction surgery on a nose that was fine.

I just think it's amusing that they're doubling down on this propaganda when their initial attempt was objectively a lie. But liars know no bounds.

If you look at the large photo (about 10-15 hours after the incident; I can't track down an actual time) it's clear her nose is swollen: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mariacorina2010

perform mental gymnastics to maintain their worldview.

I went through this in the old 9/11 forum with "Truthers" who simply could not see the beams buckling in the moments before the towers collapsed. You could show them any number of pictures of buckling framework and they'd just change the subject, call you a paid shill for Bush, or insinuate that you were part of the plot.

I see the same kinds of mental mechanisms at work here.

"Some people will literally be unable to see it, such is the degree to which they perform mental gymnastics to maintain their worldview."

WTF are you talking about? Unable to see what, for Christ sake?

You want to convince someone that a five-days lapse for appearance of symptoms of nasal fracture is plausible when te huge majority gets them within hours?

...

Talk about "performing mental gymnastics". Good luck with that.

The one in which you claim it's not swollen when it very clearly is?

that her nose is swollen and bruised.

If subsequent pictures prior to her surgery don't show any bruising, it's possible she put some makeup on.

15. Pretty sure your dad is an exception.

The huge majority will go to a hospital after breaking a nose. And I'm pretty sure that breaking a bone is painful, in any situation. She was said to have "four fractures" in her sept and needed surgery to "save" her nose.

It's not like I have never seen a person with a broken nose. Yes, it may be less painful in some cases, but... going to a interview on TV right after the incident? Going to a parade the next day? Going to a radio interview later? And going to a hospital 5 days later and, only after this, showing the symptoms of nasal fracture and complaining about pain and difficulty to talk? Five days later?

Please, respect our neurons.

Now... I could even consider the possibility that she's very rare, special case... if it wasn't for her precedent fraud in 2011.

17. Ha, I could regale you for days with tales of my dad. He was a raging alcoholic and all-around

trouble-maker.

He totaled his car once while driving drunk (well, he always drove drunk). This was back in the sixties when cars had these gigantic steering wheels with cast aluminum horn rings that would always break off in an accident.

Anyway, he totaled his car and decided to leave it there and walk home. When he got inside, we noticed that the horn ring was sticking out of his chest. It had snapped off and punctured his chest and blood was bubbling out of the wound as he inhaled and exhaled.

He threatened to kill my mom if she called the police or an ambulance, so together they pulled and twisted and got the horn ring dislodged. His lung was filling up with blood, but he'd just cough it out. He caught pneumonia and nearly died from the multiple lung infections. I think doctors made house calls in those days, so he may have gotten some antibiotics that way. But somehow he pulled through and lived another 15 years terrorizing my mom and we kids.

Sorry for going off topic, but this whole broken nose drama brought back memories of the old man and his poor twisted and mangled nose.

When that photo was taken. Of course, in the other thread 12-15 hours later the bruising is very minimal and they are of course claiming that it's all makeup and that she got a nose job.

the next 2-3 hours.

'Scuse me if I don't believe this bird. I've seen too many real broken noses in the ER and afterward.

She might have been hit, but it doesn't look like it did any real damage.

so I didn't say that, her nose was just fine. In fact, it was still just fine many hours after the supposed attack, when there should have been considerable swelling.
